Dear Sisters in Christ,
The St. Augustine Deanery Council of Catholic Women have elected new leadership for 2010-12. Our Officers are Vice President Margaret Chichitano, Recording Secretary, Pauline Cale, and Treasurer, Virginia (Ginny) Halligan and President, Sue Brierley (me). We, Officers and Members, are a team working together and WELCOME to a new year!
We are truly looking forward to the next two years with our goal to learn more about the National Council of Catholic Women, (NCCW), Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW), and the three (3) Commissions: Spiritual, Service and Leadership.
Our theme is “Sharing by Communicating”. How often have you heard – I didn’t know that, why didn’t someone tell me. Well, it is time to let us know and if we have questions, let’s question! We have so many electronic devices in which to communicate – telephone, cell telephones, e-mail, radio, TV and the list goes on but don’t forget the written notes and letters. There should be no reason that we can’t communicate with each other but there is – I know that past Officers forget to give the new Officers information to help them do their job, etc.
So, the DCCW is having Leadership Workshops to help all of us communicate better and we must attend so we can spread the word. My hopes are that we will do a better job these next two years and with your help and support I know we will do just that.
Thank you for your faith in me to do the job the St. Augustine Deanery needs to have done. And, with all of your prayers, God’s help and love, we will have a wonderful two years.
